When the conversion is to a lighter currency, accuracy in individual amounts is guaranteed, but failures in reconciling converted details and totals still persist.
The pomt is that automated comparisons would throw up so many errors that manual checking is still required.
And if we try to get around that by specifying a “tolerance” of 1c rounding, we lose the ability to detect real 1c errors, and to guarantee data integrity.
If you are using test comparison tools, make sure their conversions have been checked.
